Valerie K. Perdue-Welch
Valerie was born on February 29, 1948, in Peoria, a daughter of Glen E. and Mary Lou (Summers) Perdue. She married Gary K. Welch, he preceded her in death on July 17, 2023.
Surviving are Valerie’s daughters Tawny Panozzo and Marcy (Joe) Poplett, 5 grandchildren, Robert J. and Mikey Phillips, Joshua (Britlany) Slizewski, Kleby (Brock) French and Valerie Poplett, 9 great-grandchildren, Jordyn and Peyton Slizewski, Adeline French, Sophia Poplett, Joshua Slizewski, Killian Phillips, Malina Poplett, Karsyn French, Odin Phillips and Zachary Poplett, one brother, Lynn Perdue and two sisters, Renee (Juan) Gutierez and Darcy (Dave) Seiler.
Valerie was a life-long Peoria resident. She graduated Richwoods High School and tended bar in the Peoria area for 49 years. She was a self-employed nail technician for many years.
Valerie’s wishes were to donate her body to science. Cremation Rites will be accorded.
